And of course I am going to comment everything, don't think that you will get away from finding out my opinion. My blog, my voice, my rules (;
1. "Go buy a bag that is far too expensive for you, or a pair of shoes that will cost you as much as your rent did. The point is that you should treat yourself with something you usually don't get. Just to feel that luxurious feeling. Buy it in quality leather and blahblahblah so you can have it in many years and blaah..."
OK, so I love (l-o-v-e) fashion and I always will but the sound of buying someting that you can't afford feels rather.. Idiotic. If you are so into getting a nice leather bag, go to a second hand store! If you do get something nice like that it should be an "omg I have to have this"- spontanious purchase. Not a planned thing, talk about getting an anxiety attack the day after when you can't pay your rent. Is it even possible to enjoy that bag then? But hey, have fun with that bag though! I hope the leather is great since that's what you are going to have to live in on the street for the next month or so!
2. "Get your legs waxed professionally at a salon. And while you are at it, why not go all the way and try a brazilian? There is no doubt that it will hurt but it will definitely be worth it when you don't have to use the razor for weeks afterwords! And if you don't like it, it will always grow back."
So as a student and a part time worker at a grocery store, I don't think that waxing my legs professionally is what I want to spend my money on. I do it at home instead but it I could afford it, I think it would be something I could see myself do a few times. And the brazilian? If you feel up for it (or like you for some reason have no feeling beneath your belly button that day) then why not! It won't rob your wallet like the bag so this would be a better choice! Just don't blame it on me when you can't walk from the salon, I don't have a car so there is no way for me to help you, sorry...
Now this is something I really like! I've done 2 of these trips already this year. London for New Years and Amsterdam in the end of january simply for fun. You get to see a whole new country, experience their culture, eat their food and see it all with some of your best friends! Now what's not to love about that? + You will get much closer to your friends as well and share a memory for life. I am passionate about traveling, does it show?
4." Run a marathon! Or at least half a marathon.. It doesn't really matter how far you go. The point is that you sign up for a race wich you train to run and then you do it! It's all about master something, put up a goal and work for it. It can be a great motivation to work out and with a goal, it's easier to see the progress you are making. And bringing friends along is a great idea and support each other and of course, celebrate afterwords!"
I am actually thinking about doing a 5 kilometer race this spring, only to prove to myself that I can do it. I run about that far everytime I am training long distance at the gym and this would be a fun way to get a price for it! Do it alone of with a friend, just make sure you go through with it and you will feel so good about yourself afterwards. And if I do it too, we
can all inspire each other.
If you happen to have a guy in your life who is avalible and who you like "that way", you are lucky! Why are you waiting and wasting time? Put yourself out there and tel him! So what if he doesn't feel the same way, at least you know that now and can move your thoughts to someone or something else. Now you don't have to try to hide your feelings because you have been honest. And if you wouldn't have done it, you would always be thinking "what if?".
6. "Are you always wearing your hair in a classic ponnytail? Do something about it! Get your hair cut, do a perm, get some hot bangs, dye it! Now is the time to do it, not when you are a grannie... Your hair will grow back out again and maybe you will discover that you fit perfectly in short hair! You don't know until you have tried it..."
I have long hair which I love. I love to be able to have it out, in a ponnytail, a bun, a braid, curl it or whatever! But if you always stay with the safe ponnytail, I think it's time to make something new and fun with it! I have been thinking about cutting it shorter but I have come to realize that I am not ready for it yet. Not because it's a big step but because I am still enjoying my long hair far too much to get rid of it. But if you aren't having fun with it, cut it! It will give you a total makeover and like Coco Chanel said: "A woman who cut her hair is about to change her life".
So this was the first part of the list, hope you enjoyed it in one way or another! Next will be up withing a few days. Meanwhile you can always reflect about these 6 things and who knows, making one of them true might be the best thing you have done in a long time? Or not at all, it's up to you dolls.
X.
