Emotionless souls
I don't know if me and my mom are the only ones to react to this but here is the deal. Why is it that everytime I hear someone win something on the radio or television, all they say is "Oh, thanks!". You might think that this is a sign of pure politeness but No, it is not. I won a freaking egg filled with chocolate this week and when the store called me and pronounced me as the winner, I was so suprised! Suprised enough to say: "No way, I won?! Me?! Omg, thank you so much!! I'll come and get it later today, oh wow.. Thanks again!". Now some people think that is too much (some ppl may say it wasn't enough) but either way, here is my point. My reaction was 100 times bigger and more grateful than the woman who just won 25 000$ on TV, now what is up with that? Even if it's "only" 2 tickets to London, people should SCREAM! Not be like: "Um, oh wow... That is great. Thank you. I will enjoy it...". People, if I win as much as a golf club, believe me, I will get freaking excited (and I don't even like golf). Winning things is not a common thing so don't forget that if you so, you should at least pretend to be happy&thankful.. Or the cookie monster will come and get you.

wow great text!
I actually do understand you and think the same way. It feels like people expect they're going to win something and when they win it's like a foregone conclusion to them. Shouldn't really be. It's really sad to see someone winning something - lots of money for instance - and notice that they don't respect that at all. Gives a feeling that the prize has gone to a wrong person. :(
But ofcourse people are different and some people may not really realize about their winning when they first hear about it and then they may be a bit lost and be just like "ok, eh nice" when in the other hand there's people who screams so loud that the neighbours will be awake in a second.
But I think the most important thing is what you really feel inside you and your heart not what you show outside. At least people should respect everything they get and not just think that everything's a självfallen!
btw, greetings from finland haha!;)

That's the thing, it truly feels like a poor reaction is a price gone to the wrong person. But you are right by saying that some people might not realize it right away and that's why their reaction is like that, because they are too suprised to understand and react to it. And the last sentence is also really true, it's the inside that counts (; And that they shouldn't see it as a sjävlfallen!!
Thanks for your smart comment, it truly showed me a different perspective of it!!
xx
I totally agree with you! :) Good thing some people actually get how the world should work!
Congratulations on winning the egg! I would get excited if I won anything, I saw from a post lower down that you eat candy for Easter. We eat chocolate. Either way, yum :)

Oh thank you! I honestly don't win anything so it was such a (great) suprise! You can never go wrong with chocolate, I'd say that it's the most common candy to eat here at easter as well. Chocolate eggs and bunnies! Thanks for the comment about that too, it's interesting to see how other countries do things! xx
Thank you! I will check it out (; xx
THANK YOU! I'm glad there are ppl out there who feel the same way! I felt like that too before but then the wonderful egg showed up! So if you ever win something you better scream out loud, and let me know about it ;D xx
Thank you! xx
That is the way it should be! ;D Thank you for the comment xx
Thanks! I love it too. But I wonder if she cut it herself..? Either way it looks awesome and possible to do at home so I might just try it, you should too! xx
